Martin B-1 Acoustic Bass Guitar Reviews 5

I've been playing guitar for over 30 years. My first guitar lesson was when I was 10 years old. I play guitar and mandolin. Currently i'm playing in a folk/bluegrass trio, and a four-piece rock band. My musical tastes range from rock, folk, bluegrass, blues, jazz.

One of my buddies plays this bass guitar in our weekly bluegrass jam. He got it from a local Martin dealer for around $1300.

My buddy plays the Martin B-1 bass and the first time I heard it I was blown away! This is truly a fantastic instrument. Martin quality, fit and finish is flawless, and the sound! Wow! It plays really well, comfortable to hold, balanced well. All solid woods, mahogany back and sides, Sitka spruce top. Gotoh chrome tuners. A very beautiful bass. The onboard electronics on this bass are great. Through an acoustic bass amp it just has the most killer sound. Thick, low, but great clarity. I was truly impressed and recommend this bass to anyone.

The only problem I have with this bass is the price. But you're getting a very nice Martin guitar, well worth the cost.

Martin quality, all solid woods, beautifully put together, good tuners, nice hardshell case.

If you're looking for a high-quality, great sounding acoustic bass, the Martin B-1 should be high on your wish list!
